HOUSTON - Houston's favorite Olympians, Simone Manuel and Simone Biles, are the grand marshals for the Thanksgiving Day Parade.

KHOU 11 caught up with gymnast Simone Biles to find out what she's been up to since bringing home the gold and how she plans to spend her Thanksgiving.

The last time we saw Biles in Houston, she had just made history at the Rio Olympics, taking home a whopping four gold medals. But she hasn't spent much time at home since.

"Since the Olympics, I've been back three times for half a day or a day and a half so not too too much time, but it's always been good," said Biles.

Lately, the 19-year-old's life has been anything but normal. She just finished a 36-city Olympic tour, followed by a book tour for her autobiography "Courage to Soar".

Before she gets back on the road, she'll hit the streets of downtown Houston for the Thanksgiving Day Parade. The gymnast is teaming up with swimmer Simone Manuel to grand marshal the event. Then, she says it's time for turkey with family and friends.

Simone plans to take the Olympic stage again in 2020.
