HOUSTON – Iraqi triathlete, marathoner and fitness trainer, Yasmin Wadhai has been running competitively since she was 12.
She is the only Iraqi competitor in this weekend's IRONMAN North American Championship in The Woodlands on Saturday.
Wadhai currently holds six national records in Iraq according to the Iraqi Amateur Athletic Federation. She is also an ultra-marathon runner who has run as far as 50 miles.
Wadhai loves to inspire other Arab women to push their limits. She said no matter who you are, if you want to achieve something "just get out there and do it."
