It's coming! The cold front, strongest of the season, will arrive in Houston Friday afternoon. Not only will it usher in much colder air for the weekend, but also bring a quick hit of rain and some thunder as it approaches on Friday. Rain should clear the coast in time for high school football playoff games Friday evening. Then a north wind at 15-20 mph and a 25 degree temperature drop Friday night. Sound good? Take a jacket with you heading out Friday night.
Saturday will be breezy and chilly with highs only in the low 60's. This means we will spend most of the day in the 50's. What a great weekend for the Renaissance Festival!
I'm not expecting a freeze, but Sunday morning will see many communities to the north, like Huntsville, Conroe, Livingston and Hempstead with morning lows in the upper 30's. Boot's with the fur time baby!
