HOUSTON - A man has been arrested after robbing a woman and stealing her vehicle in northwest Houston.

The robbery occurred Friday, October 21, 2016 in a parking lot in the 7500 block of FM 1960 West.

The woman told Harris County Precinct 4 deputies while she was standing at her vehicle, a man grabbed her purse and car keys. She said he also threatened her with bodily harm.

The suspect, identified as 46-year-old Buford Bjorklund, then drove off in the victim's vehicle.

A witness to the robbery followed the suspect and called police. Deputies were able to located the stolen vehicle in the 9600 block of Champions Cove Drive.

Additional units responded to the scene and Bjorklund was arrested. He has been charged with robbery and booked into the Harris County Jail. His bond has been set at $20,000.
