MONT BELVIEU, Texas – A 24-year-old woman reported missing out of Baytown was found dead in a Walmart parking lot.

A customer alerted Walmart management of a possible dead person in a truck Wednesday and management alerted Chambers County Sheriff deputies.

There appears to be no blunt force trauma and no physical injuries, according to deputies. The woman, who hasn’t been identified, was found partially dressed inside the truck. Deputies are investigating the scene as a homicide.

Surveillance video in the Walmart parking lot didn't capture what occurred inside the car because of the way they are turned.

Store surveillance showed the woman leaving the store around 1:20 a.m. April 11 and getting into the truck, which reportedly belongs to her boyfriend. Deputies said the woman never left the parking lot and that cameras didn’t capture what happened inside of the vehicle because of the angle in which they’re pointed.

The woman was reported missing April 10 by her boyfriend.

The Walmart is located off Highway 146 near I-10.

An investigation is ongoing.
