The Mighty Texas Dog Walk will tackle a Guinness World Record for the World's Largest Cake for Dogs with a titanic treat.
A local team of professional bakers are the masters behind designing, baking and assembling the dog treat. Service Dogs, Inc. will reveal the gargantuan cake at their 19th Annual Mighty Texas Dog Walk on March 24 at 10 a.m. Once the cake is weighed, it will be served to all of the canine guests in attendance.
In order to win this world record, the cake must weigh more than 202.38 pounds, which is the current Largest Cake for Dogs held by Petmania of Ireland.
A taste testing will occur with a smaller prototype of the cake at Juliet's Italian Kitchen's dog-friendly deck. The chefs will pore over the results and adjust the recipe accordingly.
This is the seventh time Mighty Texas Dog Walk is taking on a world record.
