The suspect who caused a lockdown at two Sheldon ISD schools Monday has surrendered to authorities.
Harris County Sheriff’s deputies say the man confronted construction workers with a gun Monday morning. As a precaution, Monahan Elementary and Cravens Early Childhood Academy were on lockdown until about 1:30 p.m. Monday.
Officials say the man barricaded himself in a home for hours but surrendered without any shots fired.
No one was hurt in the incident.
