Postal worker tracks down Spring woman whose Christmas package was lost 20 years ago

Twenty years later, a Spring woman finally gets her package back, thanks to the help of a Midland postal worker. The two share the special reveal together.

SPRING, Texas - A postal worker from Midland finds a care package sitting at the office for nearly 20 years and finally tracks down the sender.

You can imagine Ann Adams' surprise when she got the phone call from Andrea Hood about a package she sent 20 years ago.

"She said, 'Does the name Johnny or Chigger mean anything to you?' and I said, 'Yeah, that was my husband, and that was our dog,'" Adams said.

A gasp silenced both women on the phone, followed by a loud scream, Adams said.

"She said, 'This is so exciting. I finally found you,'" Adams said.

Consider this: Adams has lived all across the country in the past 20 years, so tracking her down shouldn't have been easy. Sure enough, she finally returned to Texas and just in time.

As Adams explains, the package was meant for a student her church sponsored years ago. Adams decided to send her a gift for Christmas.

Adams had no clue what she sent, but knew it was something special.

It was moment she wanted to share with Hood, even if it was over FaceTime.

Still in its box set, Chloe perfume was found with a postmark of Dec. 12, 1998.

The set you can still find online, but the card inside was as priceless as they come. See, Adams has made cards for years, and this year was no exception.

Inside the box, she attached a letter, signed her late husband and her late dog.

We may be far from Christmas, but this was a miracle Adams says she will never forget.
