A Harris County judge signed a serial rapist’s death warrant who murdered two women with ice picks.

Danny Bible will be put to death by lethal injection June 27 at the Walls Unit in Huntsville.

Bible, now 66, was sentenced to death in 2003 after years’ worth of brutal rapes and murders in Texas and Louisiana.

In 1979 in Houston, Bible raped and killed 20-year-old Inez Deaton with an ice pick. Bible fled Texas after the murder but later returned.

On the same day in 1983, Bible raped and murdered Pam Hudgins and then killed Tracy Powers and her 4-month-old son.

Bible was sentenced to 25 years in prison for Hudgin’s murder. He was paroled in 1992 and went on to rape five young family members.

He was captured six years later in Louisiana and confessed to Deaton’s murder.

“Some criminals’ actions are so heinous, they earn the label ‘worst of the worst,’” said Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg. “The jury who listened to the facts and saw the evidence of the crimes Danny Bible committed clearly reached that conclusion by sentencing him to death.”
