DICKINSON, Texas – Police in Dickinson say an employee of an auto dealership is in custody after he allegedly shot a coworker Friday morning.

According to the Dickinson Police Department, the shooting happened at Gay Family Auto in the 3000 block of Gulf Freeway at about 11:05 a.m.

Police have identified the suspect at Joshua Allen Lee, 29. He has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The victim, 38-year-old Michael Pavlas, received numerous gunshot wounds but none are expected to be life-threatening, according to police.

Dickinson PD says Pavlas is Lee's supervisor and the shooting was allegedly a result of Lee being upset about the number of hours he was being assigned at work. Pavlas was in his office when he was shot.

Police say an additional charge of felony evading arrest is expected to be filed against Lee for leading police on a short chase following the shooting. Lee's bond was set at $80,000
