FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas — The main line for the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office is back in service after being down for much of the day on Monday.
At 4:50 p.m., the office tweeted the phone line was back up and running.
The issue affected non-emergency calls. The office asked for anyone in need of a deputy to call 911. The office also said not to call 911 for questions about the Fort Bend County Jail, inmates, or any other need.
Just before noon, the office said AT&T was working on the issue. It's unclear what caused the outage.
The office posted an update around 3:15 p.m. saying the line was still down.
