A Houston police officer was taken to the hospital after she was involved in a wreck in northeast Houston.
The crash happened at Homestead and Tidwell around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening. Officials say the officers were headed to a call, driving eastbound on Tidwell in the rain with lights and sirens. When they approached the intersection, authorities say they slowed down and were T-boned by a car.
Officials say three vehicles were involved in the crash, including the officer’s unit. They say the officer in the driver's seat indicated his partner in the passenger seat needed EMS.
