It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas in the Houston area with the recent drop in temps.
Many Houstonians are finding ways to make the most of the winter-like weather.
There were few complaints from families enjoying the ice rink at Discovery Green.
Aden Pinto, 8, is no expert skater, but his first trip around the parks ice rink was still fun beyond description.
"It's like you are ice skating on ice," said Aden. "You're skating on ice."
His parents from Spring felt temperatures plunging. So, they led their kids downtown for holiday fun while there's somewhat-solid ice and hot chocolate-worthy chills.
A little family ice skating competition never hurt anyone. And with five more chilly days ahead, rink managers hope it the winter weather keeps the crowds coming.
