PEARLAND, Texas - A free concert series will bring live music to Pearland this summer.

A live band will perform at Southdown Park every Friday during May and June. Three free concerts are part of the city's annual 'Concerts in the Park' series that starts May 5 from 7-9p.m. with a performance by Big Joe Walker.

The series features bands from across the musical spectrum, with offerings for every musical taste including rock, zydeco, blues and more. Food vendors will be on hand selling a variety of foods while the Splash Pad and playground will be available for the kids. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and picnic baskets and sit back and enjoy an evening of fun and family entertainment.

And this year, for the first time, the City will be offering a special Friday Night Family Pack. Easy and convenient, it allows you to get the most out of your concert experience with the least amount of hassle. The package includes seating, a pre-ordered meal and drinks, reserved parking, yard games, kids toys and goodie bags.

Free parking is located onsite in provided parking spaces, in the nearby fields north of the Splash Pad area and in neighborhoods surrounding the park. Handicap spaces are available onsite, near the Westside Event Center.
