MADISON COUNTY, Texas - The Madison County Sheriff's Office is looking for a driver allegedly posing as a law enforcement officer.

The vehicle involved is a dark colored Dodge Charger. Deputies said the driver has emergency lights in the vehicle's grill and has attempted to pull over other drivers.

The driver is not in any sort of uniform and does not show either a badge or identification, deputies said.

Deputies advise drivers to call 911 if you are being stopped by an unmarked vehicle with emergency lights.

They say to inform the 911 operator of your location and the operator can tell you if it is a real law enforcement vehicle.

If it is not, deputies say not to stop and the operator will send real officers to your location.
