PEARLAND, Texas – A collision involving three vehicles left at least one person dead in Pearland overnight.
According to Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety, it happened at 12:45 a.m. Monday at the intersection of FM 521 and FM 2234.
DPS said two cars were stopped at a red light on FM 521 when a speeding car hit them from behind.
The first car that was hit was pushed into the minivan in front of it, DPS said. The collision pushed all three across the intersection, with the first two flipping over into a ditch.
At least one person was killed from the initial vehicle that was hit, DPS said. The at-fault driver was transported to a local hospital.
No one was injured form the second vehicle.
