A British dog’s final trip to the beach has touched hearts around the world.
Mark Woods’ posted on Facebook inviting fellow dog lovers to join him and Walnut for their last walk. The post went viral and hundreds of people – and their dogs -- showed up.
Woods carried his 18-year-old dog across the beach in Cornwall because the dog could no longer walk.
Woods adopted the whippet when he was a puppy but knew it was time to say goodbye. Walnut was put to sleep on Saturday, the day after their trip to the beach.
Woods said Walnut went peacefully with he and three other whippets by his side.
