MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas - A couple encountered quite the surprise Monday on their way to the Montgomery County Food Bank.

A man and his girlfriend were driving to the food bank when they stopped for gas. A customer there alerted them to a snake stuck in the grille of their car. They didn’t know what to do with the snake and continued onto the food bank where they asked employees for help.

The organization’s warehouse supervisor went out to the car and gently tugged on the snake from the grille to let it go.

The couple doesn’t know where the snake come from nor how long it was in their car.

One of the food bank’s drivers took the snake home to his son who keeps pet reptiles and has been wanting a ball python.
