Houston has the most postal worker dog attacks in the country

Houston we have a problem!

The dogs in our city have been naughty.

This week is National Dog Bite Prevention week and State Farm released their list of 'Top 10 States for Dog-Related Claims'.

Houston ranked number one in the country in dog bites to U.S. postal carriers.

In 2017, Houston had a total of 71 dog attacks to U.S. postal carriers. Los Angeles came in second with 67 dog attacks and St. Louis came in third with 52.

Texas came in as number five in the country for the overall number of dog-related injury claims.

State Farm says they paid $132 million as a result of 3,600 dog-related injury claims last year. They say most dogs will never bite but it is important to remember that any dog can bite regardless of breed or type.
