HOUSTON — Joe Manganiello will be headed to Houston this Memorial Day weekend as the latest addition to Comicpalooza’s 10th anniversary guest lineup.

Manganiello is widely recognized as the protective, big-hearted werewolf, Alcide Herveaux in HBO’s critically-acclaimed ‘True Blood,’ as well as for his role in the cultural phenomenon Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL.

He will soon return to the big screen as the world’s deadliest assassin and supervillain, Deathstroke, in Warner Brothers’ The Batman reboot.

“Joe Manganiello is an ideal addition to our expanding guest lineup. He delivers a dynamic filmography that includes popular television and film roles across various genres, attracting a diverse audience much like Comicpalooza,” said Aimée McCurtain, Vice President of Marketing. “We are thrilled to continue bringing high caliber talent for a well-rounded show.”

Alongside Manganiello, Comicpalooza recently announced the addition of Star Wars’ Ray Park to this year’s Comicpalooza. Park is best known as Darth Maul, the demon-like duelist with the double-sided lightsaber in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. Park is also recognized for his portrayals of Toad in X-Men and Snake Eyes in G.I. Joe: Retaliation and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra among other action-packed films. Additional guests announce include Dante Basco, who portrayed Rufio in “Hook”, and “Married with Children’s” David Faustino.

The premier pop culture festival will return to the George R, Brown Convention Center on Friday, May 25 – Sunday, May 27. For the most-up-to-date information, including special guests, admission prices and schedules, visit www.comicpalooza.com.
