LEAGUE CITY, Texas - A woman has been arrested and charged following the death of an 8-year-old girl in a car crash.

According to League City Police, 41-year-old Erika Diebel has been charged with intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle. Police say that their investigation found that there was probable cause to believe that Diebel was intoxicated at the time of the accident on April 6.

According to the League City Police Department, officers responded to a crash around 5:50 p.m. involving three vehicles in the 2600 block of W. Main Street. 

Police said two of the vehicles had stopped in the eastbound lane for traffic when another vehicle rear-ended one of the vehicles. 

8-year-old Kelsey Nalepa was injured in the crash and later died. No other injuries were reported.
