LA PORTE, Texas - A woman was arrested earlier this month after she was charged in two separate road rage incidents this summer.

Amanda Downs, 25, was booked on Dec. 7 and is being held without bond.

Downs is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after two road rage incidents. A photo of one incident shows the woman pointing what looks like a gun.

On Aug. 2, police received reports a woman in a red Silverado pickup pointed a gun at another car. The victims, Ben McNeil and his son, Jacob, captured an image of the driver while they were both traveling on Highway 225.

"Without that video she'd still be doing this continually," McNeil told KHOU 11 News in August.

Investigators say this was the second report of a road rage incident of the same description in the same area. The previous incident happened in July.

Investigators eventually found Downs and her truck parked in a nearby industrial area. According to police, Downs confessed to both reported incidents and surrendered what turned out to be a large folding knife cast in the shape of a handgun.

Downs is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 3, 2018.
