HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - Two people have been charged in connection with the murder of an 18-year-old man at a movie theater on New Year's Day.

Faith Deleon, 17, and a 16-year-old male juvenile have been charged with capital murder.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, Deleon and the juvenile were meeting two 18-year-old men in the parking lot of the Studio Movie Grill on Highway 6 to buy a small amount of narcotics. Deputies say the juvenile pointed a gun and demanded money before shooting both men.

One of the victims was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The second victim was also transported to the hospital and has since recovered from his wounds.

Deleon is expected to appear in court on Monday. The 16-year-old is being held at the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center.
