One person has been arrested and several others are sought in multiple ATM robberies at area hotels.

Police took Keltrin Stephens, 20, into custody Monday afternoon at an apartment complex in northeast Houston.

While Houston police won’t go into detail about how they tracked him down, they say he was spotted casing one of the hotels in advance, and surveillance video was a big help.

HPD released surveillance video Tuesday from a Dec. 11 robbery at the Frontier Hotel. Police say there could be up to nine suspects in the five robberies, but they’re still trying to sort through exactly who all was involved in which incident.

Police are still looking into how the suspects know each other.

Police say Stephens had three felony warrants and two misdemeanor warrants when they arrested him, including those related to several break-ins around the Heights and Montrose where Apple products were being targeted.

Officials say they have alerted all of the hotels in the area, especially the Marriott hotels.

Anyone who knows these suspects or has information on these robberies is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at (713)-222-TIPS (8477).
