FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas - Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the murder of a woman near Mission Bend.

Officials say Lieu Nguyen, 39, was found shot to death in her Toyota Camry near the intersection of Addicks-Clodine and Bissonnet Tuesday evening.

A passerby discovered Nguyen’s body just after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Nguyen was then transported to the Galveston County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

Investigators say the shooting may have been a result of road rage.

Police say Nguyen's car and another vehicle were riding side-by-side Tuesday night when someone in the other vehicle pulled out a gun and started shooting. Authorities say part of that incident may have been caught on video.

Police believe Nguyen was in her normal routine Tuesday, coming home from work at an insurance office around 6 p.m. when the shooting occurred.

Nguyen’s boss, who says he’d been interviewed by sheriff’s investigators, told KHOU 11 News, the 39-year-old had been shot six times.

Harry Dao said, “I can’t believe it” while talking about the empty desk where Nguyen sat, “We’re like a family here too. This is tragic.”

Sheriff’s investigators have a witness who they are still waiting to interview, as well as video from a home near the shooting.

Nguyen was single mom of 11-year-old and 8-month-old sons.

We're told the 11-year-old's father is in Vietnam and is trying to get home to care for his son. Nguyen’s infant son is now with his father.

Deputies say the only description they have of the shooter’s vehicle is a dark colored, mid-sized, passage car.
