SPLENDORA, Texas- Eight people were turned over to immigration officials after a human smuggling operation was discovered in Montgomery County, authorities said.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, they received a tip from a citizen who believed suspicious activity was taking place in a home located in the 27200 block of F.M. 2090.

Upon arrival, deputies were given consent to enter the home. They said they found seven men and a boy inside. 

MCSO believes three of the men smuggled the other five people into the country. 

All of them were turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. 

Investigators also located a stolen vehicle which they believe was used for smuggling the individuals.
