HOUSTON – Police are searching for clues after a man was shot twice during a drive-by shooting Wednesday night.

According to the Houston Police Department, at about 10:15 p.m. someone flagged down a Harris County Precinct 7 deputy constable to alert them to a shooting in the 300 block of Dixie near Allegheny.

Officers with HPD were dispatched to the scene and found a male shot in the abdomen and leg outside the Dixie Food Mart.

Police said that initial indications are that car pulled up and fired several shots at the victim. The suspects also hit several windows of store front.

The victim was taken to a local hospital in serious condition and expected to survive.

Police said the only description they have is that the suspect vehicle was dark-colored.
