Jogger cut with knife while fighting off her attacker in Spring

A jogger was injured during an apparent abduction attempt late Monday in Montgomery County.

SPRING, Texas — A young woman out for a jog had a terrifying experience in Spring Monday night.

The 28-year-old was running on Oakhurst Drive when a small car pulled up with its high-beam lights pointed toward her.

She told deputies a man jumped out of the car and tried to pull her into his vehicle. When she fought back, the suspect cut her with a knife.

The victim managed to break free and run home. She said she saw was at least one other man inside the vehicle.

The attack happened just before 9 p.m. near the Imperial Chase Apartments in the 25000 block of Brookhaven.
