HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Deputy constables say a chase on the west side ended in a crash and the arrest of a man with warrants.
Authorities with the Harris County Pct. 5 Deputy Constable’s Office say deputies were watching over a Katy-area home where a woman previously said she was threatened by a man. She claimed the man even shot at her home in the past.
Deputies saw the suspect pull onto the street around 11 p.m. Thursday, so they tried to stop him, but he allegedly refused to pull over and sped away.
The man got on I-10 the Katy Freeway eastbound and reached speeds up to 120 mph, according to deputy constables. During the chase, he collided with two innocent drivers, but no injuries were reported.
The suspect eventually crashed into the HOV lane barrier after he hit spike strips laid out by officers. He was then taken into custody.
Deputies say the suspect already had domestic abuse warrants for his arrest and now faces a felony evading charge.
