HOUSTON – A business owner is expected to survive after police say he was shot several times during a confrontation at a T-shirt shop in northwest Houston.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers responded to a call of a shooting just after 10 p.m. Wednesday at a strip center in the 6300 block of Antoine and Sheraton Oaks.

When HPD arrived at the scene, they found shell casings in the parking lot. Investigators said that there was a confrontation involving the owner of a T-shirt shop and the shooting suspect.

The owner of the business was shot several times and transported to a local hospital by a private vehicle, police said. They added that he was seriously injured, but was expected to survive.

The suspected shooter fled the scene and remains at large, police said.
