HPD: Man shooting gun in Snapchat video arrested

Officials say a tip from Crime Stoppers Wednesday afternoon led to the arrest of 22-year-old Edwin Alexander Ospino.

Houston police say they have arrested the man seen shooting a gun in a Snapchat video posted last week from the Memorial Park area.

Officials say a tip from Crime Stoppers Wednesday afternoon led to the arrest of 22-year-old Edwin Alexander Ospino.

The Snapchat post was made shortly after 10 p.m. Nov. 16 from a basketball court in Cottage Grove Park. The shirtless man in the video is seen firing the gun multiple times while someone records using a cell phone.

Residential homes with their lights on can be seen in the background. Text across the bottom of the snap reads: “Let a n****** try me, I got my glocc 40."

Houston Police say they received a "shots-fired" call from Cottage Grove that night, but the shooter was not found.

Police say Ospino will be charged with deadly conduct, a felony.
