HOUSTON – A police chase ended when a suspect driver crashed into a large curb while trying to make a U-turn under the Eastex Freeway overnight.
According to the Houston Police Department, officers attempted to stop the driver at 12:30 a.m. Thursday near Crosstimbers for speeding and an invalid temporary license plate.
However, the driver refused to stop and led police on a short chase.
Police said the driver tried to make a U-turn too fast at Tidwell and crashed into the curb.
The male driver and passenger were taken into custody. Police said the driver was charged with felony evading, and the passenger was charged with possession of meth.
