HOUSTON – Houston police say a driver became angry after an apparent misunderstanding, leading to a double stabbing in a north side roadway overnight.

It happened before midnight Monday on Charles at Shady.

Family members told police they were barbecuing outside their home along the street and were taking photos of each other as a vehicle passed by. The driver, a man, got out and was angry at the family because he thought they were taking photos of him.

Family members say the driver was yelling at them and pulled out a knife, stabbing one teen in the neck and chest. Another teen was stabbed in the hand.

The suspect fled the scene. A detailed description of the man was not immediately available.

The two victims were taken to the hospital.
