Gunmen open fire on 2 customers outside food truck in northeast Houston, police say

The two victims were sitting outside of a food truck when someone pulled up and fired numerous times into their vehicle, according to Houston police.

HOUSTON — Two people were shot and injured while parked outside of a food truck Sunday evening in northeast Houston, according to police.

The shooting happened around 8:22 p.m. near the intersection of Homestead Road and Annunciation Street.

Police say the two victims, a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, were waiting in their vehicle when a car pulled up next to them and began firing several rounds into their vehicle. 

Lt. Bryant with HPD says the vehicle then sped away.

It was initially reported the two victims were workers, but further investigation revealed they were customers.

Both victims were rushed to the hospital where they are currently stable, but in an unknown condition.

Police do not have a description of the suspects, but say they're looking for three shooting suspect at this time.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact the Houston Police Department as HPD's Major Assaults division continues investigating.
