KATY, Texas- Two suspects have been arrested and charged for robbing a game room in Katy on Sunday.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, a man and woman posed as customers at the I Café game room for several hours on Nov. 13. The game room is located in the 19100 block of West Little York Road.
Investigators said when the game room was closing, a security guard began to escort Jorge Mejia, 31, and Emmaly Harris, 31, out the business.
Mejia then pulled a handgun and attempted to re-enter the business. HCSO said the security guard tried to pull the door close, but Mejia pushed a gun against the guard’s side.
The suspects walked the guard back to the office area. They told the manager and an attendant to put all the money in a backpack.
Mejia duct taped the three employee’s hands before leaving the game room.
Harris was waiting in a car when District 4 deputies responded to the parking lot. They stopped her vehicle and ordered Mejia to the ground as he approached the car.
Deputies recovered his handgun and the stolen money. A second handgun was found under the driver's seat.
Both have been charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. They are being held on $30,000 bond.
