HOUSTON- Four people were injured during a shooting that started as a drive-by in north Houston on Friday night.

According to the Houston Police Department, the shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. on East 39th Street. Police said it began as a drive-by shooting between two groups, but one of the suspects got out of the car.

Three men were shot from one group. The single male that was shot from the other group was left behind as his friends jumped in a vehicle and fled the scene.

HPD doesn't have a motive, but say it might be gang related. All of the injured men are expected to live.
