HOUSTON – A couple led officers on a wild chase in a stolen truck before crashing into a church, police in northeast Houston say.

The crash happened at the intersection of Kelburn and Marilyn.

Officers say they spotted the truck, which was reported stolen out of the Conroe area, but the suspects refused to pull over. The chase ended when the driver lost control rounding a corner and crashing into a building, leaving behind a gaping hole in a classroom at the Beebe Tabernacle Church.

Both suspects were arrested on scene.

Police said the woman had felony warrants. The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

There were no other injuries reported in the incident.
