HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Four juveniles were shot late Sunday in the parking lot of an apartment complex in north Harris County.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Parkwood on Cypress Station complex on Cypress Station Drive just after 10 p.m.

“We have a curfew here. It’s in our lease agreement,” said Sophia Chaisson of the efforts her apartment complex takes to prevent violence at night. “10 o’clock all kids need to be in their house.”

Investigators believe two groups of teens got into a fight, and that's when one of them pulled out a gun and fired nearly a dozen shots.

“It’s to a point now that nobody knows why their fighting” said Chaisson who said groups of teens have been fighting within the complex for the last three weeks.

Deputies say a 16-year-old girl was shot in the head, and three other boys suffered less severe injuries. The youngest victim was said to be 12 years old.

At least two victims were spotted being placed in ambulances.

Investigators were on scene for about nine hours, and just after 7 a.m. the sheriff’s office released a press statement to say a possible shooter was being questioned by authorities.

I am praying the violence will stop,” said resident Jesse Jones. “School is out now. There’s so much going. Young people can’t find jobs and what have you. Trouble is easy to get into and hard to get out of.”
