HOUSTON - A 19-year-old man died late Friday evening after he was shot an unknown number of times, according to Houston Police.

Authorities say they found the young man on the ground in front of a convenience store in east Houston around 11:30 p.m.

The teen was reportedly brought to the store by another man who pulled him out of the vehicle and placed him on the ground before going inside the store for help.

The store clerk called 911 and when HFD arrived on the scene, the teen was unresponsive.

First responders attempted CPR while en route to Ben Taub Hospital but were unsuccessful.

We're told the man who drove the victim to the store left the scene before Homicide Detectives arrived.

Police have not released any information on suspects or a motive at this time.
