LA PORTE, Texas -- See Texas’ largest battle reenactment and enjoy entertainment and activities during the San Jacinto Day Festival on Saturday, April 22.
The festival, which marks the 181st anniversary of the Battle of San Jacinto and Texas winning its independence from Mexico, will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 22 on the grounds surrounding the San Jacinto Monument.
The free festival includes a battle reenactment at 3 p.m. where hundreds of actors will recreate the decisive Battle of San Jacinto on April 21, 1836. It will also include live entertainment, vendors, cultural exhibits, family activities and more.
Parking will be available at lots along Independence Parkway with free shuttle service running from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Disabled parking is also available at the Battleship Texas parking lot.
