HOUSTON - A 2-month-old boy has died after he was attacked by two dogs in Houston this weekend.
According to the Houston Police Department, the baby boy was mauled to death around 3 p.m. Saturday at a home in north Houston.
The two dogs involved were a Labrador mix and a Giant Schnauzer. The infant was taken to the hospital but died from his injuries.
The family of the dogs brought them to BARC shelter Sunday morning. It is unclear if the owners were related to the infant.
BARC confirmed the dogs will be euthanized Sunday evening or on Monday morning. The animals will be sent to a city lab after and will be tested for rabies.
BARC says the dogs were not showing any symptoms of rabies but will be tested just in case.
