AUSTIN, Texas — A $12.5 million jackpot-winning ticket for the Lotto Texas drawing was sold in Houston recently, announced the Texas Lottery on Sunday.

The cash value option was chosen by the lucky winner when they bought the ticket so they will receive $8,550,384.24.

So far, no one has come forward to claim the cash.

The Texas Lottery says the ticket was sold at a store located at 3301 Pinemont Drive.

“If you have the winning ticket, we encourage you to sign the ticket, put it in a safe place, seek financial and legal advice, and call the Texas Lottery before coming to Austin to claim the prize. We look forward to meeting you,” said Gary Grief, executive director of the Texas Lottery.

In addition to the jackpot-winning prize, three tickets matched five numbers and chose the Lotto Extra! Feature to win $11,907.

The winning Lotto Texas jackpot started as a $5 million prize on Nov. 3, 2018 and rolled 20 times before being won.

The jackpot for the next Lotto Texas drawing on Wednesday, Jan. 16 will reset to $5 million.
