A style of denim jeans sold exclusively at Target is being recalled after reports that its metal embellishments have come off and cut the wearer's skin.

Jeans maker Topson Downs is recalling roughly 30,000 pairs of its Cat & Jack Star Studded Skinny Jeans for girls, which were sold only at Target from September through November.

The company says shoppers should take the jeans back to a Target store because the metal stars, attached to the bottom of the pants, can loosen, and fall off, potentially harming the skin. Of the six reports Topson Downs received about the metal pieces falling off, five said the defect led to lacerations.

Buyers will receive a full refund. If they are unsure whether their jeans are affected by the recall, they can check the inside waistband for the brand's name along with the words "super skinny.'' Also, either the numbers 205-03-1377 or 205-03-1392 are on the pants' tag.

The children's clothing line Cat & Jack has been a big seller for Target. The star-studded skinny jeans for girls sold for roughly $18.
