HOUSTON – The staff at nationally recognized Fringe Salon and Color Bar in River Oaks shared prom make-up tips that promise to make every girl feel like a princess.

The best advice said staff member Tyler Wachel, who is also a Jane Iredale Make Up ambassador is to be true to yourself.

If you are not used to wearing make-up, don't do a dramatic look for prom, he said. Keep it light and natural. Don't wear things like fake lashes if you are not used to them, he said. Your eyes will feel heavy, like you cannot open them all the way.

Wachel also said use colors on your face that complement the color of your dress. Complimentary colors are opposite each other on a color wheel. You can find color wheels at any store that sells paint.

Wachel also said consider wearing a lip stain. The color stays on a lot longer than lipstick.
