HOUSTON — Local Conroe Business Owner Meredith Jurica will be appearing on Shark Tank on Sunday, January 20, 2019. She has an inspiring story you don’t want to miss! Meredith Jurica is the owner and designer of Makeup Junkie Bags located in Conroe, Texas. In 2016, Meredith (a self-professed makeup junkie) was a Speech Pathologist for Conroe ISD. She was not satisfied with the makeup bags on the market and decided to make her own. After making several for herself, her friends admired them and began asking her to make bags for them and as gifts for their friends and family. The interest in the design she created and patented caused her to decide to start a business from her kitchen table. That small start exploded into a serious business grossing over $1 million dollars in sales her first year. When she outgrew her kitchen table production ability she leased space in Conroe, TX which she has outgrown several times and will be moving into her newest space in the next few weeks. She employees 70 people and her product is carried in over 2000 boutiques nationwide. She is a real inspiration to hopeful entrepreneurs everywhere.
