What started out as a dumb joke seven years ago has turned into an art exhibit of thousands of copies of the 1996 film, "Jerry Maguire."

The exhibit at iam8bit Gallery is located in Los Angeles and has about 14,000 VHS copies of the film.

The gallery is a replica video store where a group called Everything is Terrible uses old video for comedic purposes.

The group says they started collecting the film on VHS as part of a joke but it has now turned into a project to turn old waste into art.

They said they hope to collect enough copies one day to build a giant pyramid.
