The Mannequin Challenge has arrived at the White House, for a very special occasion.
On Tuesday, Barack Obama awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor, to a diverse group of names in entertainment, athletics, tech and politics.
Before the ceremony, some of the White House's most distinguished names gathered for an all-star Mannequin Challenge, with honorees Ellen DeGeneres, Robert DeNiro, Tom Hanks, Bill Gates, Diana Ross, Rita Wilson, Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Frank Gehry freezing in position for the video.
Even better? Tracee Ellis Ross is the woman behind the clip, accompanying her mom, Diana, to the ceremony, seizing the opportunity to arrange her celeb friends in poses, and posting the clip on her Instagram.
"Look what I got everyone to do! I'm in the pink dress laughing with Rita! It’s the #MannequinChallenge, Presidential Medal of Freedom Edition at theWhite House!!" she wrote in the caption.
Unfortunately, Black Beatles was not involved, with some background piano music soundtracking the clip instead.
We haven't seen so many celebs in a spontaneous shot than Ellen's viral #OscarsSelfie.
