Tens of thousands of hungry Houston-area residents will pack into NRG Park this weekend for the World’s Championship Bar-B-Que Contest. It’s the finger-lickin’ good kickoff to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

More than 250 barbecue teams will compete in several categories including best brisket, ribs and chicken.

You can also enjoy live music at the Garden State featuring some of country artists in Texas.

If the barbecue doesn’t fill you up, head to the carnival for more food, wild rides and fun games.
