GCSO: Deputies shoot, kill feral pig that charged them

GALVESTON COUNTY, Texas- Deputies in Galveston shot and killed a feral pig that allegedly charged at them on Wednesday. 

According to the Galveston County Sheriff's Office, two deputies responded to a call about a wild pig disturbing residents in the 4400 block of 3rd Street around 11:10 a.m. 

Deputies say the residents didn't own the pig and it was "acting aggressive towards the property owner and their pets."

When approaching the pig, deputies say the pig charged them and struck one of them in the leg. One of the deputies then shot and killed the pig.

The injured deputy was checked out by emergency personnel and returned to duty.
