Man critical after wrong-way crash on Highway 6 in Sugar Land
SUGAR LAND, Texas – A 23-year-old man is reportedly in critical condition after being airlifted from a crash in Sugar Land overnight.
The incident happened at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday on Highway 6 near Austin Parkway.
Investigators say it appears the man was heading eastbound on the westbound side of the highway before crashing through a ditch and into a tree.
The man had to be freed from the wreckage and was flown to the hospital by Life Flight.
Officers shut down several lanes overnight for the investigation.
No other vehicles or victims were involved in the incident.
